C.A.I.R vs. Free Speech
Last night on Fox TVs, The Kelly File, Megyn Kelly had as a guest, Ibrahim Hooper, a representative of CAIR regarding CAIR’s attack on women’s advocate, Ayaan Hirsi Ali a Somali-born victim of Islamic abuse and persecution. Ali was being honored by Brandeis University, Waltham, Mass. with an honorary degree for her work in exposing the abuse of women by fanatical, radical Muslims. But, reacting to pressure by CAIR, Brandeis University recanted, saying Ali was not what ...<< MORE >>
Morell Blames the Analysts
Of all the crap, lies, incompetence and corruption that can be traced to the Obama Administration, the Benghazi debacle, in my opinion, has got to be the very worst, most disgraceful and shameful .
I just got through hearing on Fox the response by Deputy CIA Director, Michael Morell , to the questions by members of the House Intelligent Committee – and in a nut shell, I am disgusted. ...<< MORE >>
Rand Paul and the NSA
I don’t know about you but I receive on an average two emails a day from Rand Paul. They start out, “Hey John.” Somehow his people got my email address.
I think Rand Paul is a good man. I’m glad he is a Republican, but as a Libertarian I’m a little leery of some of his thinking. I started reading his emails but now ...<< MORE >>
The Man Who Wants to be Loved
Our first Black President is sashaying half way around the world, at tax payer’s expense, not ruffling any feathers or bringing up any issues that might offend any of his hosts. He told the Pope that he was one of his greatest admirers, and presented the Pope a package of vegetable and fruit seeds as a token of goodwill. In past speeches Obama has claimed to be an avid protector of religious freedom. ...<< MORE >>
If Putin invades Eastern Ukraine or another border State, daffy Joe Biden warns, steely, with a serious no nonsense demeanor, “We will respond!” But how will Obama respond? That is the 64 thousand dollar question NATO and the European Union would like to know, but apparently are disinclined to ask. A military response, the only real response Putin would understand, is off the table.
Today in Brussels, Obama addressed the Council of the ...<< MORE >>
The Bergen/Obama Syndrome
Last nite I was watching old Johnny Carson segments on Turner Classic Movies. Johnny was interviewing Candice Bergen, the daughter of Edger Bergen, the ventriloquist who back in the 40s made a wooden dummy dressed in a tuxedo, silk top hat and monocle, by the name of Charlie McCarthy, famous. Bergen had another dummy named Mortimer Snerd, a country bumpkin type.
Edger Bergen was very good at what he did.<< MORE >>
He’s making Carter look good
Who makes Carter look good, none other than Barack Hussein Obama? Our President, the smartest man in the world. What a disappointment, or should I say “piece of work.” I have attempted to shift my inner passion to my little farm. I got ditches to clean, trees and raspberries to prune, lambs being born, ground to prepare, peas, spinach and radishes popping through; but I got to watch the news, and when I do, my blood boils ...<< MORE >>
I don’t know how true it is but my wife’s doctor said that the cannabis oil obtained from marijuana that is used to treat children does something to the testicles of little boys causing sterility. Wow, now the progressive socialists and liberal libertarians can promote it as a form of birth control.
I am reminded of morphine, a derivative of opium that was used to mask pain. It had great therapeutic value. ...<< MORE >>
A Message to Putin
I watch Bret Bair on Fox religiously; mostly because of the panel at the end of the show. Two of my favorite personalities that are regulars on the panel are Steve Hayes and Charles Krauthammer. Today, Bret prefaced the panel by saying they would talk about what Obama could do to send a message to Putin. As you know I am somewhat opinionated, especially where Putin and Obama are concerned. My first thoughts ...<< MORE >>
Might Makes Right
I’m not a fan of Putin, nor am I encouraging Russian aggression, but let’s face it, history is replete with examples where one country invades and occupies another. If the aggressor is successful and no other country has the power or the will to evict the usurper, then “might makes right.” Kerry and Obama can scream, yell, stomp their feet, wring their hands and quote international law and treaties all day long and all Putin will do ...<< MORE >>
A Country in Opposition to Itself
After the latest fiasco with Lois Learner taking the fifth, thereby thwarting the House Oversight Committee in learning the truth about the IRS targeting conservatives, and after the impromptu, idiotic rant by democratic Congressman, Elijah Cummings, insulting Darrell Issa and the lawful motives of the Committee, and after watching these last few years the liberals, from Obama on down, deliberately foil attempts to unravel the corruption, mismanagement and incompetency of the Obama Administration, from Benghazi to Fast & Furious, I ...<< MORE >>
Putin is no Dummy
I read this morning in the Salt Lake Tribune that Obama is going to give the Ukraine a billion dollars to help out their economy and the European Union is likewise coming up with several billion. There was also an article indicating Putin was backing off, said he had no desire to invade the Ukraine but maintained that if the Russian speaking people asked for his help, he would do whatever was necessary.
In ...<< MORE >>
Did Nero Fiddle or play Golf
After going through the newspapers on line this morning I had to scratch my head and smile in pessimistic irony over how things look both in America and the world. Obama’s security council met Saturday to discuss the crisis in the Ukraine but Obama missed it. According to news reports his missing these important meetings is not unusual. In the mean time a group of anti-pipe line people demonstrated before the White house ...<< MORE >>
Will Russia Invade the Ukraine
We old timers were just kids when Hitler invaded Czechoslovakia on the pretense that the German speaking Czechs were being mistreated. Hitler’s justification was bogus, but the chaos in the Ukraine is not. That part of the Ukraine next to Russia speak Russian and from the Russian point of view, they have an invested interest in their Naval Base in the Ukraine. What would we do if we were in the position of the ...<< MORE >>
Obama Puppets or Stooges
Our august Secretary of Defense, Chuck Hagel, purported to be a republican, announced budget cuts to our military that will reduce its size effectiveness to that of 1941 prior to the Japanese bombing Pearl Harbor. To paraphrase the message out of the White House, “American dominance around the world is unfair. “
The Joint Chiefs have gone along with this drastic military cut without uttering a peep in defiance. The only objections have ...<< MORE >>
What Did I Learn from Reading, The Kindergarden of Eden
My first impression of the title was that it was odd and didn’t really catch my interest until I read the subtitle, “ How The Modern Liberal Thinks.” It was only then that my interest was aroused, but even then I was not sure what kindergarden and Eden had to do with how liberals think. But it was the subtitle of the subtitle, “And Why He’s Convinced That Ignorance Is Bliss,” that tipped ...<< MORE >>
You May Think I’m Racist
If you are a liberal you may think I’m racist because I perpetually criticize our first liberal, socialistic black President, and satirically remind my friends that Obama is black, at least half black. You may think that I think his being half black contributes to his liberal, progressive ways. Not really. I think his being half black is an embarrassment to men like Ben Carson, Thomas Sowell and Allen West, committed conservatives and genuine Americans ...<< MORE >>
It was Jack London (1876-1916), one of my favorite authors, who immortalized “The Unexpected” in his “Tales of the Klondike.” The first paragraph of his story is thus:
IT is a simple matter to see the obvious, to do the expected. The tendency of the individual life is to be static rather than dynamic, and this tendency is made into a propulsion by civilization, where the obvious only is seen, and the unexpected rarely happens. When ...<< MORE >>
The Incongruity of the word Loyalty
The message I’m attempting to convey is that in the world of politics genuine loyalty is often a rarity, at least that is my opinion. After a brief semantic examination of the words, integrity, incongruity and loyalty, I will get to my point.
Integrity means “honesty, moral excellence and being honorable.” Incongruity means “not consistent with or suitable to the surroundings or associations.” Loyalty means “faithful in allegiance ...<< MORE >>
John Kerry and Israel
I try and listen to Dick Morris’ daily videos on “dickmorris.com.” Today’s video (2-6-14) was about John Kerry attempting to jam down the throat of Israel a Peace Treaty with the Palestinians by threatening boycotts. This is another example of the hypocrisy of the Obama Administration, saying one thing and doing the opposite. Obama it seems, is more friendly with Iran than it is Israel. And his history since first taking office shows he is ...<< MORE >>
