Supreme Court Ruling - Part 4
UTAH SUPREME COUT RULING - PART 4
John Putvin and J. LaMoine Jenson were good friends. I have to hand it to Putvin, he did his best to save Jenson’s reputation. He could have destroyed Matthews as he originally wanted to destroy Owen Allred, but he needed Matthews to help establish lies.
As a Salt Lake County Sheriff’s detective I have been involved in investigations at every level, specializing in sex crimes. I have helped hunt down serial murderers like Ted Bundy and serial rapists like the Gordon Lane Rapist. But the investigation into the fleecing of Virginia Hill was the crème de la crème, the most challenging and most rewarding. As agents of Virginia Hill it took me and my partner, Rod Williams, nearly four years in our spare time to trace the money, discover documentation, interview witnesses and find an attorney that would take the case. When you have a badge doors automatically open, but if you are just another civilian you sometimes have to charm those doors open. It was not an easy endeavor, the psychological battle was just as important, and more interesting than the legal battle. It had everything but a homicide but even then threats were made. Rod and I footed our own expenses, motivated by the bizarre twists and turns that would dead end, and then due to the duplicity of the defendants and hatred of each other, a new clue would pop up and we would be off and running.
The AUB priesthood thought God would protect them. He didn’t. Some AUB members thought Rod and I were in league with the Devil and the Devil gave us power to manufacture fraudulent evidence. Other spiritually, although irrationally minded people, thought God made it possible for us to find the evidence, bringing down evil men. Well, so far AUB is alive and growing. As for God, give Him credit if you want, that is if there really is a God, but AUB’s postulated God didn’t have anything to do with exposing the “pattern of criminal activity,” if anything He was on the Defendant’s side. It was darn good, persistent investigating and lawyering on the part of Virginia’s attorney, Don Redd, and appellant attorney, Clark R. Nielsen, that resulted in the Utah Supreme Court Ruling which made the long haul worthwhile.
The role of AUB’s postulated God, or Gods in its machinations is of paramount importance. They think they only worship one God, but the way they manage their priesthood government indicates they worship two gods, a good god and an evil god. It is the evil god that is the glue that bonds (unites) the group. In other words, AUB needs a devil more than a Christ, someone or something to hate. I will explain in detail how this works in The Fleecing of Virginia Hill. In the mean time, consider the following: A god becomes a compensator for that which is beyond the control of the mortal. The reward of a promised celestial glory is far greater than the punishment of earthly afflictions. In that regard, the brilliance of Joseph Smith is how he turned persecution into a virtue. God’s chose people have always been persecuted. Mormon fundamentalist are not the only groups that have made good use of persecution. The homosexuals, African Americans, and Jews have also made good use of persecution.
The next step is to go back to the Fourth District Court and make AUB responsible by determining how much money they should have to pay. According to informants AUB has quitclaimed property into surrogate’s names and mortgaged property to the hilt in the event Virginia prevailed. That will all have to be hashed out and it is possible that innocent people may lose their homes. Then of course I will be working on the whole, sordid story of The Fleecing of Virginia Hill.

John,
Looks like you are back on the Internet with a vengeance! You write an interesting piece about Virginia Hill and how some of the AUB leaders took her money.
Based on what you have written and some "scuttlebutt" floating around the Fundamentalist communities, is this a case where Ms. Hill was trying to hide her assets and was a willing partner in a scheme she lost control of? After all, there is no honor among thieves...
You know as well as I do that truth and justice aren't necessarily found in the same courtroom.
What percentage of any award the court orders are you and Rod Williams expecting from Virginia Hill for your work?
Attorney's usually take at least fifty percent on contingency in these kind of lawsuit and they damn sure don't share any of that with investigators.
What do you think, will you get twenty years of the tithing you paid to AUB back? Inquiring minds want to know!

John,
Another well written and accurate description of the Virginia Hill case. People like Mahonri can bark back all they want but it won't change the fact that AUB and its leaders were clearly involved in trying to launder a significant amount of cash through their religious organization....to build up the kingdom of God no doubt....NOT! This is the same AUB that forces nude rituals on their members in an endowment house in Bluffdale. AUB members are made to sign a legal waiver, without warning, just prior to the endowment ceremony. If these nude rituals were in any way above board why in Gods name would AUB leaders require a signed waiver of responsibility??? The hour glass has finally run out on the AUB group as it has with the FLDS group. Consequences to criminal acts and human rights violations are long, long, overdue for the AUB. Mahonri, there is NO truth or justice in criminal activity and human rights violations. Please join other AUB members who have "seen the light" and are moving forward to stop these dishonest acts being conducted under the guise of religion!
